Syngenta: design and production of groundbreaking crop exhibition
Syngenta is a world leader in crop productivity and a regular user of our services in a range of different areas. In this case Syngenta needed to make a powerful impact at a meeting of European politicians at the Forum for Agriculture thinktank conference in Brussels. No bland exhibition stand would do. They needed to bring the story of food production to life and highlight the vital importance of pollinating insects.
Working with TOP PR and The Red Beehive Company, we created some stunning wafer-thin displays with powerful graphics for the Syngenta Operation Pollinator project. In front of each display we built eye-catching perspex cubes containing an array of living crops – apples, vines, tomatoes and oilseed rape – and then released hundreds of bumblebees into each cube. The impact was extraordinary. The bureaucrats and politicians were mesmerised by the view of crops, buzzing bees and the growing fields beyond. The message was unmistakable.
The finishing touch was offering delegates branded English apples, baby tomatoes, cold-pressed rape seed oil, washed down with a glass of Sandeman Port – all produced by Operator Pollinator project farmers. A truly memorable example of how to bring a dry topic alive and get a conference buzzing.
