Bath Press is the latest flagship development from Housebuilder of the Year, City & Country.
Located just a stroll from Bath’s magnificent city centre, the historical site is being transformed into 300 luxurious townhouses and apartments alongside commercial space.
After a competitive five-agency pitch, we were thrilled to be chosen as the creative partner for the full branding and marketing of this significant scheme.
Bath Press occupies the historic former printing works of Sir Isaac Pitman, famed inventor of the world’s most widely used shorthand system.
The formal façade of the original 19th century building has been retained, complemented by refined contemporary architecture to create homes that respect the site’s history while offering luxurious modern living.

Drawing inspiration from the concept of a stamp, the bold logo symbolises both the art of printing and a seal of approval.
The brand celebrates the site’s printworks heritage while appealing to a modern audience, the typography style reflecting the beauty of Pitman’s shorthand book, combined with arresting imagery and clever printing-referencing headlines.

Local area and model photography depicts Bath through the eyes of a stylish young couple. We captured emotive moments of a day spent in the city, creating a sophisticated yet authentic snapshot of Bath’s lifestyle, set against the backdrop of the dramatic architecture.
If ever a development called for a beautifully produced brochure, this is it. A premium hardback book with understated cover featuring the bold stamped Bath Press logo in delicate foiled gold.

For a city of such character and charm, a detailed hand drawn map was a fitting way to highlight Bath’s renowned landmarks, providing a unique giveaway to customers. Individual sketches of Bath Press and local buildings add personality and interest to the brochure design.

The marketing video succinctly captures the fantastic location and all Bath has to offer with sweeping aerial views, location and lifestyle footage. Historical imagery merged with CGI animation visualises the transformation of the site into a premium new development of modern homes.
From advertising and social media to CGIs, printed literature, signage and hoarding, we developed a cohesive campaign across all touchpoints with a distinctive style, tone and messaging.

"The creativity and professionalism GQ brought to the table have truly elevated our brand, making it stand out in the market. We are thrilled with the results and look forward to continuing our partnership."
