Chartered engineers Hive Consultants approached GQ for a brand refresh, new website and corporate collateral, to give the company a more polished, contemporary and consistent visual identity. An established group of experts with a reputation for a professional but approachable attitude, Hive’s new look needed to reflect this.
Taking the hexagon shaped element of the existing brand, we reconfigured this to create a honeycomb icon representing the members of the Hive team coming together, developed to form an interesting graphic feature. The streamlined typography and softened colour palette achieved a corporate but modern, fresh feel and the new content managed website reflects this clean visual style, with the focus on striking video and imagery complemented by the tessellated honeycomb device.
